In order to raise health and safety standards throughout the UK, CHAS (The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) was developed in 1997 by seasoned health and safety experts.

UKCA Marking
The UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking is a new UK product marking used for items sold in Great Britain (England, Wales, and Scotland). The majority of goods that formerly needed the CE marking are covered. Most goods that were formerly covered by the CE marking are now covered by the UKCA designation.
