Health and Safety
The well-being and safety of our team and everyone in their immediate vicinity comes first. We operate to rigorous health and safety standards across our workshop, production lines and every site we work on.
UIS holds Alcumus SafeContractor status, ConstructionLine Gold and CHAS Elite accreditation, independently audited to verify our health and safety management across the business.
All site workers carry CSCS cards. Supervisors hold SSSTS certificates. Site teams are PASMA-trained and IPAF-trained, with first aid certification across all site crew.
Insurance & cover
Every UIS project, domestic or commercial, is underwritten by comprehensive business insurance. Certificates of currency are available on request for procurement and pre-qualification teams.

Environment
UIS is committed to reducing energy use, waste, packaging, noise and carbon emissions. We work closely with our supply chain to ensure consistent environmental standards throughout the project.
Where technically viable, we substitute materials for more environmentally friendly alternatives. Steel is widely recycled, and waste is processed at the point of manufacture.

UIS maintains consistent quality standards across every stage of every project, from initial estimating through to project handover.
Quality is underpinned by ongoing employee training and a supply chain that is screened and vetted through a formal vendor qualification process.
We are accredited to ISO 9001 and BS EN 1090 Execution Class 2, and carry UKCA marking on all applicable steelwork.
