Structural Steelwork
As part of our involvement with the construction sector, we are often called upon to manufacture and install all types of structural and secondary steelwork. We are manufacturing to BS EN 1090 Execution class 2.
We have a flexible installation service for all your steelwork and welding requirements on site, with all staff being qualified and experienced in their field.
General Fabrication Work
We have two workshops keeping our mild steel fabrication separate from our Stainless and aluminium fabrication, to avoid any cross contamination of materials.
Our workforce covers a wide range of manufacturing processes including MIG, TIG, and MMA welding. Sawing, drilling, cutting, metal finishing, and polishing.
This includes architectural metalwork.

Handrails and Balustrades
We can provide a comprehensive range of design solutions, both domestically and commercially, from a range of materials.
From basic industrial style ‘Kee Klamp’ balustrades to sleek prestigious stainless steel and glass in commercial applications, to elegant and beautiful balustrades that would look at home in any domestic property, giving the ‘wow’ factor to your project.

Gates and Railings
We can manufacture and install various types of metal gates and railings to any specification including automation, enhancing the appearance and security of your property or business.
Site Surveying
Part of our design process invariably involves site surveying to ensure that we are manufacturing and installing within a client brief or given parameters.
We can provide services that include detailed geometrical surveys and 3D scanning with the facility to provide detailed drawings that can be overlayed using cad software.
Heavy Lifting and Crane Operations
Part of a job remit can often require the need for lifting operations or plant movement, Crane work mobile or Tower, Telehandler operations and Lifting solutions are all part of our capabilities.
Providing safe systems of work, Lifting plans, and Method statements are all part of the service we offer here at UIS.
